Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura has predicted doom for Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa.
Jumwa was on Friday expelled from the opposition's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, apparently over her political romance with Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi Show Saturday, Mwaura faulted Jumwa for miscalculating her moves and showing her exit intentions too early.
The Jubilee Senator who was also expelled from the Orange party in the run-up to the 2017 elections said that it would have been wiser for Jumwa to make her move towards 2022.
"Jumwa made poor timing. The case will most likely end up in the courts which will be very costly and the party will have all the time to frustrate her.
She should have done it towards the 2022 elections to deny the party the pleasure," he advised.
Mwaura added that the case might continue for several years to come after Jumwa vowed to challenge it in court and might be concluded in around two or three years.
"She should have waited a little bit. This is a case that will eat up a lot of time in terms of court battles and appeals. It will be hard for her," he added.
Jumwa's Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori who was also facing an expulsion has since made a U-turn to redeclare his support for the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga-led bloc.
