John Njoroge from Banana in Kiambu County has shocked many residents with his unique gift.
Mr Njoroge has a rear ability as he can blow air from his ears.
Njoroge says he realised he has this rare ability in August 2017, adding that he now uses it to earn a living and provide for his family's needs.
Every day, Njoroge goes to Banana market to entertain residents by inflating balloons using his ears. The elderly man revealed that he makes up to Sh800 in a day.
"People don't believe that I can fill balloons with air using my ear so they ask me to prove it. I sometimes charge them Sh50 or Sh100," said Njoroge.
However, Njoroge is unaware of the medical risks that can be caused by his new source of income.
According to Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist Dr Musa Nyandusi, Njoroge's eardrum could have burst due to infections, a situation that increases his chances of developing infections in his brain.
"The drum has burst, and it can burst due to infections, especially childhood infections. This gentleman is pre-disposed to developing infections in the brain. In as much as the public will be amused by what he is doing, any ENT surgeon will be very worried for the person," said Dr Nyandusi.
Njoroge's wife Pauline Muthoni said she believes his rare gift help them in life, as the money he earns will improve the living standards of their children and grandchildren.
