South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro, who is a member of DP Ruto's famous 'Tanga Tanga' group, told KTN News that he never faked academic credentials.

He said IEBC cleared him to vie because his papers were 'original'.

"I could have not been elected if I had fake papers. The claims doing rounds that my papers were forged are false. I went to school despite the poor family background I was raised up in," he said.

Osoro reiterated that he pursued his Law Degree course at Mount Kenya University and CPA course at Strathmore University.

He claimed that his rivals are jealous about him after locals voted for him overwhelmingly.

"Rivals are alert to finish me politically by spreading propaganda but I want to assure them that should they continue peddling lies about me, I will still beat them hands down in 2022," he maintained.

Osoro is serving his first term in the 12th Parliament. Hot 96 FM, in a tweet last week, confused Osoro's academic credentials, a move that ignited a reaction from Strathmore University.
