The National Assembly Minority Leader, on Thursday, publicly went against majority lawmakers during a special sitting to back the proposal which means more taxation on Kenyans.

This will automatically reflect on his future political endeavours, especially now that he is reported to be eyeing the Homabay gubernatorial seat in the 2022 general polls.

Courtesy of the move that aided the proposal to go through, Mbadi has aligned himself with the side that will burden the people whose votes he needs even more.

This will obviously be avenged by the people in the ballot, most of whom are already grappling with the high cost of living which is already in place.

Also, his decision to side with the ruling Jubilee Party lawmakers in supporting the increment has portrayed him as a traitor in the region whose most votes are usually directed towards the opposition side.

Therefore, the move will most likely haunt the lawmaker, who will henceforth have it hard regaining the support and admiration he has always enjoyed in both the county and the entire Luo Nyanza region.
