Garissa Township MP Aden Duale on Sunday opened a Sports Centre in Garissa Town that will benefit the youth from the region.
Duale said the Sansiro Sports Centre which can host both local and international games, will provide the youth from the region with a place where they can nurture their talents.
In a Facebook post, Duale noted that the facility will be a good way of keeping the youth busy, and protecting them against radicalization or engaging in illegal activities.

During the opening of the facility, the National Assembly Leader of Majority played a football match with the youths and managed to score two goals.
“Officially opened Sansiro Sports Centre, Garissa Town. I also played with the youths and managed to score two goals as a striker. The pitch will provide the youths in Garissa with an alternative productive activity that will predominantly deter them from engaging in illegal activities. It can host both local and international sports,” he posted.
