This was revealed by Nzinzi Kibiku and Ombija, the hosts of the morning show.

"We did extend an invitation to the other side but they cancelled on the last minute... Seems no one wants to talk after the president's tirade," Ombija said.

The cancellation of the interview by the Jubilee MPs came less than 24 hours after President Uhuru Kenyatta launched into a tirade at Kasarani, Nairobi against Central Kenya MPs who were moving around the country at the expense of working for those who elected them.

Only two ODM legislators, Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina and Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch, appeared for the morning interview.

Senator Ledama said the absence of the Jubilee legislators at the interview was proof enough that Uhuru's strong words at Kasarani had cowed them.

In his tirade, the president called on Central Kenya legislators to stop roaming around the country and work for the people.

He pledged to go around the country and tell on the MPs who defied him.

The president's attack has been seen by political pundits as directed at DP Ruto allies.
