The first-time governor said that he will not relent in the quest to recover grabbed land in the ongoing demolitions.

He took to social media and posted: “Even Weston; My Buru Buru Casurina coco beach plot; Taj Mall and many other buildings shall not be spared if found to be on riparian or public land,” Sonko’s statement read in part.

He also said that he will not allow friendship to come between him and his people.

“My good friend and colleague should concentrate on his county. He should know we don't mix friendship with work,” the Nairobi City boss added.

The statement comes days after President Uhuru Kenyatta declared that the fight to recover public land is unstoppable.

He also said that some of his friends have been calling him to ask for the stoppage of the process.

He insisted that he will not make a u-turn over the same. Embakasi East MP Babu Owino had also called for the demolition of Ruto’s hotel.

The move is considered to spark mixed reactions from different political factions across the nation.
