Detectives established that Ms Kemunto, was living with Ali Salim Gichunge, the prime suspect at Ruaka estate where the attack may have been planned from. She remains in a Nairobi police station where she's being interrogated.

But a section of Gusii leaders now want detectives to use details in the National Identification Card to establish the home to the lady, who is said to be a journalist by profession.

"Based on what we are seeing in news, she's a Kisii if at all the ID is genuine. All Kisiis have origin in Nyamira and Kisii Counties. This is the prime opportunity for George Kinoti team to tell us where she comes from. She should also be tasked to explain if there is any other girl from the region who has joined terrorists," argued Ben Sironga, Rigoma MCA.

Former Kitutu Masaba MP Walter Nyambati said the girl's family at home should be identified and details made public for scrutiny. He further said the details will help find out possibility of the whereabouts of girls who may have disappeared.

"It's good that she has been arrested. We want to know her home. We want her friends to come out. The girl should also be compelled to tell Kenyans if we have ladies who followed her route," said Nyambati.

Details about her whereabouts remain scanty despite the police confirming her arrest. Her purpoted husband, Ali Salim Gichunge, is also said to bring in police custody despite earlier reports that he had died in the attack.

Kenyans on social media also discovered Violet's number where she had posted her households for sale days to the attack. She is believed to have studied journalism at Masinde Muliro University of Science and technology.
