Mr Sankok said he would report embattled Bungoma senator who is out of the country for 'conning Arabs.'

"You go to con Arabs. Do you know who Arabs are really? Your Excellency, this should have no problem, I will report him to his wife and it will be noisy, messy and there will be one casualty," Sankok said.

Wetangula is expected to record a statement with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

This is after his voice in a leaked phone recording was authenticated by the DCI.

Scores of suspects have been arrested as investigations into the shady activities of the fake gold syndicate continue.

The scandal has seen Deputy President William Ruto and Raila Odinga allies trade strong words.

Ruto allies have accused Raila and Interior and Coordination of National Government Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i of being involved in the fake gold saga.

The United Arab Emirates Prime Minister Mohamed Bin Rashid al-Maktoum is among people said to have been conned of millions of shillings by the fake gold syndicate.
