Noting on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, Sonko pointed out this will be a relief as the country seeks a permanent solution for this famine disaster.

According to Sonko, since hunger can't be postponed, there is a need to support Turkana County being most affected as the national government plans to disburse Ksh2 billion to counties.

"I'm appealing to all well-wishers willing to help to send their foodstuff donations to our upper hill office Matumbato Road behind Radisson Blue or text 0722886600/0722156700 for us to pick/collect the foodstuff. We shall NOT be receiving CASH donations. Strictly foodstuffs only." noted Sonko in part of his post

This comes barely days after Esther Akoth alias Akothee generated a pay bill number. The initiative was supported by her fans and later enabled her to transport foodstuff and water to Turkana residents last week.

"I also shared new ideas, like I had to teach them these new tactics of making work easy or else we would stay here all day... Brains at work God bless Turkana, I love you, " noted Akothee on Monday

Sonko's team is already in the ground distributing food to deserving residents in Turkana.
