Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has come out through his official Facebook account to warn Kenyans on conmen asking money using his name.

Taking to his account on Monday, the city boss distanced himself from those asking money from anyone.

“BEWARE OF THESE CONMEN. I don’t ask for money from the public. In case anyone asks you to send Mpesa. Report to 0722886600 the nearest police station,” wrote Sonko

He requested the public to report anyone using a fake account in his name to ask for money from the public.

He gave a phone number people should call should the conmen try to ask money from them.

More so, the public was asked to immediately report such cases to the nearest police station for quick action.
