Obama who landed in the country on Sunday before holding meetings with both President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga flew to Kisumu and then drove to his ancestral land for the official launch of the Sauti Kuu Resource Center founded by his step-sister Auma Obama.

In his speech, however, he avoided both the national and county governance issues, majoring on corruption and youth empowerment, in what Weda now claims was in a bid to avoid upsetting a section of Kenyans that might been of the opposite opinion.

Speaking on KBC English Service Wednesday morning, the commentator who doubles up as a High Court advocate added that the ex-Potus has no authority to lecture Kenyans on the same, being a foreigner.

‘’He can only address certain issues when he comes visiting. He is a foreigner who was born and raised in another country and cannot, therefore, lecture Kenyans on Kenyan matters and that is why he avoided speaking about both our national and county governance,’’ he said.

The former Sony Sugar Chairman added that the same was also as a result of the protocol and going against it would have been contrary to the conduct expected from him as a former American Head of State.

‘’As former President, his words must be calculated and should not go off track to utter words that might undermine other people’s leaderships,’’ added Weda.
