The suspect said he was ready to surrender after being trained by the Al-Qaeda offshoot.

According to Nakuru police boss Samuel Obara, the 23-year-old surrendered at Nakuru Central Police Station on Sunday evening.

He just surrendered unarmed, Obara said.

The suspect said he has been receiving training at Bombolulu in Mombasa since 2018 but has escaped.

“He asked for protection as he fears for his life after dumping the other killers. We will establish the truth,” a police officer said.
