Alfred Wandati pursuing a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics said that he had predicted for a penalty missed in the match to which it never came to be.

The first-year student revealed that he almost jumped over the roof when France was given a penalty on the 38th minute after Croatia's Ivan Perisic handled the ball in the penalty box.

His joy and prayer were however short lived as Athletico Madrid's talisman, Antoine Griezmann stepped up to put it away from the penalty spot.

With the penalty missed rating at 12.5 odds, the student was entitled to Sh206,250 had Griezmann missed to score from the spot.

"It was really a bad day for me in office after my last bet on penalty missed earned me some good amount which I still have to date. Losing Sh16,500 is not a bad thing anyway considering that I am using their money," the dejected student consoled himself.

The 20-year old revealed that the bet was his last after this year's World Cup came into conclusion in Russia with France being the champions.

He further said had he won the money, he would have added to his current project which he declined to revealed but was funded by his last win on the same market he had placed on.
