Shabana’s head coach Gilbert Selebwa has called out to fans of Shabana FC to be patient with the team’s performance.

The Kisii based team has been on a run of unconvincing results from its recent games, the latest being a 1-1 draw to St. Josephs Youth FC.

Shabana has won 8 games, drawn 5 and lost 7 in 20 games played so far with 29 points accumulated.

Shabana’s supporters were left disappointed after they drew 1-1 with St. Josephs FC in their last game of the National Super League on Wednesday this week at Gusii Stadium. A big section of the fans demanding that Selebwa should be shown the door.

Speaking after the game the experienced tactician beseeched the fans to be patient pointing out that building a team is a process.

“Am advocating to be granted more time so that I can revitalize this team,” said the coach.

He revealed that 13 players had left the club on the basis of exhibiting unsatisfying performances on the pitch. Selebwa insisted on not to harbor nonperforming players in the club.

Players in are: Paul Owuor (Migori Youth), Geoffrey Alwal (Kangemi All Stars), John Matisya (Mwatete), Bliss Kityo (Muhoroni) and Tony Wekesa (Kibera Black Stars).

Shabana faces Nairobi City Stars away in their next NSL match.
