Witnesses said the minors, who are pupils at a local primary school, were returning home from school when they diverted into a banana plantation to engage in the illicit act.

"I spotted the minors in school uniforms entering my banana plantation. When they took long to come out I decided to check what they were doing. I was shocked to find them doing bad manners," said Gideon Akenga.

Mr Akenga said the minors tried to ran away in vain.

"They started running away when they spotted me. I chased them and apprehended them before I notified the public," he noted.

Area community policing official Eunice Bonareri said the minors were given thorough canes before they were released to their homes.

"It is very unfortunate that school going children are engaging in illicit sex in bushes instead of focusing on education. The minors were canned thoroughly and warned against seeing each other next time," said Bonareri.

She appealed to parents to advise their children accordingly so that they can grow morally upright.
