The man who was in front of the crowd waved the placard written: 'Sonko, one motorbike and change my life.'

The Nairobi governor saw the placard and called the young man to the stage from which he was addressing the Ruiru residents.

"I have seen that. What does it say? Please Sonko, one motorbike and change my life. Come up here. He will have the motorbike tomorrow morning. (Nimeona hiyo. Inasema nini hiyo. Please Sonko, one motorbike and change my life. Kuja hapa juu. Huyu hii motorbike ameitisha atakuwa nayo kesho asubuhi, " Sonko said in a YouTube video.

Sonko was in Kiambu County on Sunday to support Ann Wamuratha, a renowned speaker who doles out advice to couples on Inooro.

The flamboyant governor donated Sh600,000 shillings in support of Wamuratha.

Other leaders in the so-called Team Wanjiku joined Governor Sonko at Ruiru.

The leaders vowed to fight for the downtrodden as they move around the country in what they described as a bid to unite the country.

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria was among the leaders who spoke.
