Nine matches have been lined up for weekend action but only seven will be played as defending Champions Gor Mahia and FKF Shield Champions Bandari FC will be flying the Kenyan flag in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League and Confederations Cup respectively.

Several matches will played on Saturday, with two others expected on Sunday.

On Saturday, newbies Kisumu All Stars will be away to Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB). The Henry Omino led All Stars lost 0-2 to Ulinzi Stars in the first match of the season last month, while KCB thrashed Sony Sugar 3-0.

Tusker FC will host 2008 Champions Mathare United, Ulinzi Stars will be up against 2009 KPL champions Sofapaka, while Nzoia Sugar will host Sony Sugar in a clash of sugar belts.

Western Stima will play host to moneybags Wazito FC at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu. Gor Mahia’s game against Chemelil Sugar and Bandari FC’s against Zoo Kericho have been rescheduled due to the two side’s (Gor, Bandari) involvement in continental assignments.

On Sunday, Posta Rangers will square it out against Kakamega Homeboyz, while AFC Leopards will be in action against Kariobangi Sharks.
