Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has wooed Bomachoge Chache constituents to support his bid to become the next governor in 2022.
Maangi speaking on Monday when he interacted with residents of Nyamoronga in Machoge Bassi Ward, Bomachoge Chache Constituency said constituents should rally behind him ahead of 2022 polls.
"I want to assure constituents that I will work with all leaders should win the gubernatorial seat in 2022. I appeal to Bomachoge Chache residents not to abandon me when the time comes," noted Maangi.
He assured that he will ensure positive engagement to drive development and foster unity of purpose.
Maangi defended his track record since 2013 when his boss Governor James Ongwae picked him as his deputy.
"I have been closely working with Ongwae since 2013 and therefore wish to confirm that I know what the people of Kisii deserves, unlike other gubernatorial aspirants. I urge the people of Bomachoge Chache too throw their support behind me in 2022," stated Maangi.
He warned local leaders against divisive politicking saying Kisii residents won't elect leaders who are good in spreading propaganda about others.
The Deputy Governor assured accelerated development across the county to boost the living standards of the people.
