Gorasia says that Ruto does not have any share in the Mall, adding that he (Gorasia) fully owns it.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday, the Mall Managing Director (MD) said that he bought the piece of land and built the mall himself.

“DP Ruto has zero shares in the mall and I can show you the title deed of this property,” he said on Thursday.

Gorasia maintained that the building is not constructed on public land.

He said that he bought the 1.75 acres in 1991 and cleared by the government to construct the building.

Gorasia said that he has invested his all life in the mall adding that God will punish those who want to demolish it.

On Thursday, the multi-agency team leading demolitions in the city issued tenants occupying the mall notice to vacate.

The tenants have until August 30 to vacate the building.

On Tuesday, Nairobi governor Mike Sonko confined that Taj mall is among buildings earmarked for demolition.

The Governor also said that Weston hotel associated to DP Ruto will be demolished.

Last week, the multi-agency team demolished the Ukay center in Westlands and South-End mall on Langata road as the push to save riparian land continues.
