A 28-year-old man is nursing serious emotional injuries after his closest friend eloped with his pregnant wife.
The incident happened on Thursday afternoon at Mokomoni, North Borabu in Nyamira County.
Kefah Moriango said he has been living happily with his wife, Linnet, for the last 3 years.
"She dropped school in form 3 and we got married three years ago. My friend Samuel Karori has been visiting us at home and I didn’t know whether he can seduce my wife and convince her to get married to him,” he said.
Moriango said his wife was 4 months pregnant and accused Karori for breaking up his marriage.
“I and Karori are boda boda riders. I am yet to understand why he had to take her away from me yet he knows she was pregnant for me. He is a total enemy who other riders should ignore,” he noted.
Area assistant chief Fred Omweri said Karori rented a house in Nyamusi shopping center before the woman moved to live with him.
He said a public Baraza will be held in the village on Monday next week to ensure Moriango gets back his wife who is about to give birth.
He warned riders against seducing married women since there are so many beautiful women in the region men should seduce and marry.
