In 2014, residents of Free Area in Nakuru were shocked when the pastor of Shalom Christian Centre was arrested over accusations of sodomy.
Pastor Moses Aluda was accused of defiling a minor on December 11, 2014, in Langalanga estate.
He was further charged with sexually assaulting another minor on December 13, 2014, from the same estate by inserting his finger into the minor’s anus.
In the police records, one of the minor revealed how the pastor took him to his house in Langalala, demanded a kiss and told him to masturbate.
“On getting inside the house, he started telling me that I have nice lips and wanted to kiss me,” read part of the police report.
“I pretended to go for a lotion to help in masturbating but managed to reach the door and escaped,” the minor further recorded in the report that the police availed.
Members of Shalom Christian Centre could not believe their eyes seeing the 'Man of God' they trusted being dragged into police remand.
The pastor had been running the church for years before the claims emerged.
