Other than First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, President Uhuru Kenyatta is rarely seen hanging out with his family members in public events and Ngina's Thursday appearance in Windhoek is one of such rare moments.

At the podium, the only daughter of the president is seen sitted at her father's right side. The president was invited by his counterpart Hegg Geingop. Uhuru's first trip to Namibia was in 2015 when Me Hegg was being sworn in.

"President @UKenyatta arrives at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek to join the people of Namibia for celebrations to mark 29 years of their country's independence," read State House tweet.

Just like Ngina, President Uhuru's other children; Jomo Kenyatta and Muhoho Kenyatta are rarely seen in public. Only Muhoho is at times makes rare appearances at his father's Gatundu South home attending public events.

Unlike Uhuru, opposition chief Raila Odinga is often seen with his children both in public and private meetings. Recently, he was pictured with his youngest daughter Winnie Odinga along with DR Congo President Felix Tshisekedi.

In October last year, President Hegg Geingop visited Kenya for Mashujaa Day celebrations. He invited the President formally to his country.

“It is befitting for us to recognize the sacrifices Kenya made as a country by contributing outstanding soldiers to help in safeguarding our stability,” President Geingob said

“On behalf of the people of Namibia, we have decided to award General (Rtd) Daniel Opande with the second highest honour in Namibia and we invite him to come to Namibia to receive it on behalf of all Kenyas, ” the Namibian Head of State added.
