In a post on his official Twitter account, the Senate Majority leader said, "I thank my Presiding Bishop (Rev) Silus Yego for paying me a courtesy call and for the hearty discussions touching on current issues affecting the country. I always value his prayers and fellowship. God bless."

Bishop Yego is the current Presiding Bishop at the African Inland Church (AIC) Kenya and was installed on November 18, 2001, after defeating Bishop Titus Kivunzi in an election that was held at Ziwani AIC church, Nairobi on October 18, 2001.

Murkomen meeting with the AIC Bishop has however elicited a lot of mixed reactions amongst Twitter users.
