Asbel Kiprop has finally spoken after an explicit video leaked showing him and a woman seductively dancing and kissing, which went viral on various social media platforms.
The three-time 1,500 meters World Champion while speaking to Nick Mudimba on Monday on Switch TV, revealed that the other woman (in the explicit video) was engaged to several men and so was the idea to expose it.
"I found out that she was talking to other men, she was cheating on me. So I decided to confess to the husband, my wife and to society so that I have a clear conscious,"
The athlete confessed that he was ready to start a new life with his wife after cheating on her for the past two years.
"I am on good terms with the husband - but I have a problem, my wife ran away and I want to bring her back. She is out of our home and I told her that I was confessing for something that she didn't know for two years," he admits.
Asbel further admits that he had not been training smoothly but now that all that happened was behind him, he vowed to come back even stronger than the 2015 time.
"I want to tell her that the reason I have been fluctuating is that I have not been training smooth. I want to tell her that now I have changed, I hope I win the case. I will come back and run as the star I was in 2015," he added.
