This comes a day after the Judiciary Service Commission (JSC) asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to form a tribunal to investigate the conduct of Judge Jackton Ojwang.

The complainant, Mr Ronald Ayiera, claimed that Justice Ibrahim threatened him with a gun at his house in Spring Valley, Nairobi, on Thursday morning.

Ayiera alleged that the judge issued the shooting threats after he lost his cool following a disagreement. The guard who works for Rans Security company recorded a statement at the Spring Valley Police Station.

He, however, did not disclose the exact cause of the disagreement that led to the threats.

Confirming the incident, Gigiri OCPD Richard Muguai said that the police are investigating the matter.

The OCPD noted that they will share information about the incident once they make progress in their investigations.

The case has been recorded under OB number 03/21/3/2019.

“Once we know exactly what happened, we will call you and let you know,” he said, as quoted by the Daily Nation.

On his part, Justice Ibrahim admitted that they differed with the security guard but denied claims that he brandished a gun.

He also stated that he doesn’t own a gun as alleged by the complainant.
