Details have emerged on the possible appointment of Wiper party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka into the cabinet.
Sources indicate that Kalonzo and Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi could land government jobs in the spirit of the handshake.
“There are some negotiations going on. There is something in the offing for Kalonzo, that I can assure you,” a Wiper Senator told the Standard.
A Jubilee insider has also revealed that there could be more surprises in the appointments of government jobs.
“More surprises await us in coming days. The President is planning a major re-organisation that will not spare his office,” intimated a Jubilee insider.
This comes after Kalonzo maintained that he will support President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto for better service delivery.
He said that his support is in line with his presidential dream.
"As the Kamba community, we desire and want to be on the negotiating table with indisputable political backup for the highest seat on the land. There are no ifs nor buts in this fight for 2022.
”Kalonzo's change of tune has shifted the political dynamics of Ukambani.
Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has since said he is ready to work with Kalonzo after many years of rivalry.
