Nyamira County governor John Nyagarama is yet off the hook following the latest development.
In a latest report tabled before the county assembly by nominated MCA Irene Sese, it reveals the ongoing impunity, rot at the county government.
The report exposed that there is irregular hiring of staff at the gender department where 40 employees at the docket doesn't have defined roles but, Nyagarama's administration has been paying the workers.
According to the report, the gender department lacks qualified staff for the job despite the governor ordering for staff audit to ensure county workers have relevant technical skills for the right job and eliminate 'ghost' workers for the county's payroll.
Locals have now demanded the ODM allied governor to explain why his government is employing excess people without defined roles.
"Nyagarama must come out and explain to us how comes his government is hiring more staff without roles. We can't continue condoning his rogue leadership," said Caleb Ayienda.
Boniface Onyuri accused the governor for condoning impunity in his government.
"MCAs should clear the mess at the devolved unit. Excess county workers must be sent home," recommended Onyuri.
