In a ruling delivered on Thursday, the second most powerful court on land said that the High Court never erred in invalidating the lawmaker’s win following an appeal by former MP David Ochieng, who vied on little-known Movement for Democracy and Growth.

With Karan ready to face off with his rival once again, what are the permutations?

Will Ochieng’ who rebelled against ODM produce a shocker and stun the orange party candidate?

Keen to avoid an embarrassing defeat in his own county, party leader and Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga may be forced to intervene, pitching for his candidate’s election.

Whatever happens, the impending by-election comes as a test to ODM’s own popularity in the region it has dominated for years.

But for Ochieng, it may be revenge time against a party that sponsored him to Parliament in 2013 before the bitter fallout.

Who will blink first and fast?
