Radio presenter Felix Odiwour popularly known as Jalang'o has revealed that he was with his colleague Alex Mwakideu when his mother passed on.

He further revealed that they took her body to the morgue ahead of the burial arrangements.

"Tulikuwa nayeye nyumbani hata mama alipofariki...Jana muda wa saa tisa hivi ndio mama alituacha (I was with him when his mum died... She passed away yesterday at around 3pm)," Jalang'o said.

The renowned comedian also shared with Kenyans his co-host's passionate appeal to Kenyans after losing his mother on Tuesday after a long battle with illness.

Speaking during Milele FM's morning show on Wednesday, Jalang'o said that Mwakideu has appealed to Kenyans to pray for him in this difficult time.

"Katika wakati huu mgumu alisema niwapitishie salamu zake na akaomba maombi sana sana kutoka kwenu manaake huu mwaka umekua mgumu sana (In this difficult time, he asked me to send you his greetings and appealed that you pray for him because this year has been very difficult for him)," Jalang'o said.

Jalang'o promised to announce the burial arrangements to the public when the burial committee comes up with the plans.

Mwakideu lost his sister Emmy Mwakideu early this year to illness.

At the time of his sister's death, his mother was seriously ill, Jalang'o revealed.

Kenyans have been sending their messages of condolence to the Mawkideu family after the news of his mother's demise was made public.
