Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's spouse Ida Odinga is today expected to preside over the launch of the Magunga market sheds in Homa Bay county.
According to area Woman Representative Gladys Wanga, Ida will be the guest of honour at the launch of the newly constructed sheds which are complete, only awaiting occupation.
In a Facebook post Sunday, the MP noted that the project has been funded by the Homa Bay County National Government Affirmative Action (NGAAF), under the watch of her office.
"And we are all set for tomorrow's opening of the newly built Magunga Market sheds funded by the Homa Bay County National Government Affirmative Action Fund. Our Chief Guest will be HE Dr Ida Odinga," wrote Wanga.
The market is located in Gwassi South Ward, Suba South sub county.
This will be Ida's second public function in Nyanza in three days.
On Saturday, she joined area leaders in commemorating the 60th anniversary of her father Dr Nehemiah Oyoo in Gem, Siaya county.
The function was also attended by Raila, their eldest daughter Rosemary, and other leaders drawn from the larger Nyanza region, Wanga included.
