A Nyamira politician has dismissed President Uhuru Kenyatta's latest appointments on grounds that the appointments are meant to divert the minds of poor Kenyans who are struggling with poverty in villages.
Victor Swanya said Uhuru should have considered lowering the cost of living and not making unnecessary appointments.
"Mr. Kenyatta is just a joker who decided to appoint people to join his government to divert Kenyans minds after he imposed a huge tax on fuel.
"Kenyans should not celebrate with the rogue appointments which came when we are about to face hard economic times," he said on Friday evening in Nyamira town.
The vocal politician said Uhuru's appointment were discriminatory favoring people from loyal families.
"The beneficiaries in the latest appointments are from established families. The poor will continue paying huge taxes to pay the rich salaries. The Jubilee government is doing its best to make Kenyans more poorer," he added.
He stated that NASA leader Raila Odinga jumped ship and joined government and he should not be recognized as the official opposition leader.
