Already 2022 politics is on and several politicians have declared their interests in 2022 thus raising the political temperatures in the country.

However, if elections were held today, these two Jubilee governors would easily lose their seats;

Mike Sonko

He is the governor for Nairobi county. Having won the seat by a landslide, Sonko has had a rough time managing and directing the operation of the City hall. Corruption, mismanagement of public funds and emergence of a strong team of cartels have given the youthful governor a rough time. His deputy governor resigned in 2018 and since then, Sonko has lost the trust of voters. The flamboyant governor will have to sacrifice and offer real service to win back the hearts of Nairobi residents.

Joyce Laboso

Laboso clinched the Bomet county seat after beating veteran politician, Chama Cha Mashinani's (CCM) party leader Isaac Ruto in 2017. However, Laboso’s administration has been accused of nepotism and high levels of corruption. Her major threat in 2022 is the presence of Isaac Ruto in the gubernatorial race. A section of Bomet residents have been asking the former governor to come to their rescue and his reconciliation with Deputy President William Ruto might be a blow to Laboso's re-election bid.
