Police in Migori have launched a manhunt for a suspect accused of drugging and defiling a form two girl in a local lodging.
Reports on Citizen Digital indicate that the minor left home on May 21 for school, but never informed her mother that she had arrived at school.
The following day, the 14-year-old girl reportedly called the mother, and informed her that she had found herself in a lodging.
The mother went to the facility and her daughter could not explain how she found herself there.
According to the minor, the suspect met her at a bus station, and engaged her in a conversation, telling her how he knew her family members and how close he was to her relatives.
The girl further claimed that during their conversation, she became unconscious, only to wake up in a lodging tens of kilometers from their meeting point
The girl’s mother claimed that she evaluated the room, where the girl was booked in, and found blood-stained bed sheets, suggesting her daughter was defiled.
Police in the area have arrested an attendant of the lodging as they pursue the man who booked the hotel room with the girl.
