Over a period of 2 weeks, there has been consistent complains over how those directly involved in cleaning the town haven't done their job well.

"It's sad that the County Government of Kisii cannot clear this menace and allow traders who remit tax work from a clean environment," said Dennis Gekara a youth leader.

"Why will we even remit taxes to the County Government of Kisii if this is what we get in return?, " wondered Vincent Ombogo a bodaboda rider at the Capital round about stage.

Owners of groceries, eateries and butcheries in Kisii town are worried about what will become of their business if diarrhoea hits Kisii town.

In the recent past, Governor Ongwae's administration has been ridiculed over incompetence to handle issues affecting residents of Kisii, nepotism, clannism and skewed employment and promotion procedures by the public.

This saw Governor Ongwae reshuffle his Public Relation officers and bringing on board new players. Former Communication Director Maseme Machuka now heads the Liquor Licensing Board while Nyamira County Kenya News Agency's correspondent Mr. Ongeri replaced Mr. Machuka
