A section of Kisumu County residents have questioned why Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o met soccer legend Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, famously known as Ronadinho in Nairobi instead of Kisumu.
The governor met the 38-year-old former PSG, Barcelona and AC Milan player in Nairobi on Sunday.
“This morning I met Brazilian legend footballer Ronaldinho in Nairobi where we discussed an array of issues in a bid to promote sports, art, and culture in the great county of Kisumu,” posted Nyong’o on his Facebook page.
The meeting venue did not go down well with some residents who reacted after he posted the message.
Others called on his government to renovate Moi Stadium to international standards.
