Njomo was first elected to Parliament in the 2013 general election on a Jubilee Party ticket.

He won re-election in the 2017 general election, where he still ran on a Jubilee ticket.

The Kiambu lawmaker is known for introducing the Interest Rate Bill that capped commercial banks lending rates.

Here are facts you didn’t know about Njomo.

1. Early life

Njomo was born and raised in Kanunga, Kiambu County.

2. Schooling 

He schooled at Riara Primary school before proceeding to Kanunga Boys High School for his A- levels.

3. Graduate 

After High school, Njomo enrolled for Electrical Engineering studies at the Kenya Polytechnic (now Technical University) and graduated with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering.

4. Engineer

He was employed by the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC)  as an engineer but later quit the job and started his own business.

5. Businessman 

The Kiambu MP is an established businessman with interests in real estate and transport.

5. Family

Njomo is married to Jackie Njomo and the two are blessed with four children.

6. Politics

He joined politics in 2013 and went ahead to win the Kiambu Town MP seat on a Jubilee ticket.

The MP introduced the interest capping Bill (2015) that capped commercial banks’ lending rates.

7. Hobbies 

Njomo is an actor and likes acting during his free time.

He is also a DJ and performs at his friends' weddings and birthday parties upon invitation. 

8. Christian 

The Kiambu Town MP is a staunch Christian and never misses church.

Njomo says that his vision is to serve Kiambu Town residents wholeheartedly and ensure they have access to all government services.
