A boda boda rider died after he was hit with a blunt object on his head for allegedly seducing a married woman on Sunday in Iranda village, Nyakoe area, Kisii County.
Andrew Gekondo said the deceased, Steve Mogaka, quarreled with Peter Onduko, over a woman, Emily, whom he was allegedly seducing.
“Onduko came to a stage where he was waiting for customers and quarreled with Mogaka about a married woman. Mogaka was warned against seeing the woman or be killed,” said Gekondo.
Gekondo said Mogaka was spotted entering the woman’s house on Sunday evening while Onduko was away attending a funeral in Marani.
“Mogaka ignored the warnings, he went ahead into the woman’s house. Onduko arrived from market at 7 pm on Sunday picked a metal rod and hit Mogaka from the back of his head killing him on spot,” he noted.
Area assistant chief, Bartholomew Oroo, said Onduko with the woman fled after the incident.He said the deceased body was taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital mortuary and a manhunt has been launched to arrest the suspect.
