The manager was officially presented before the club on Tuesday, opening a new chapter on his coaching career after a successful stint with Gor.

Speaking to Goal, Kerr revealed that he moved because of 'football' and not on his profile.

“It is a new challenge you know, the challenge of helping a new team to avoid the axe and who knows what is going to happen but honestly speaking, I made a big choice not on the profile but on my football,"

“I watched my new team play against Polokwane City in a friendly on Tuesday and my main target now is to help them stay up in the PSL. It is a new chapter in my career but I know we can achieve that feat looking at the players, I watched because they are all ready to work hard and get positive results,"

Kerr led Gor Mahia to back-to-back league triumphs and helped them advance to the latter stages of the continental tournament, where they missed out on the quarterfinals.

Gor is currently preparing for the CAF tournament, where they will face Malawi's Big Bullets.
