According to a letter seen by Hivisasa.com, the committee led by Sensi ward MCA Paul Angwenyi has asked residents to submit momorandas at the Kisii County Assembly Precincts, Kiboko boardroom on Tuesday 23rd April beginning 8am to 5pm.

The committee was tasked by Kisii County assembly on Thursday last week to probe the officers after the house unanimously passed an impeachment motion to kick out CEC Finance, Chief Officer Finance, Chief officer economic planning, Chief finance officer, Head of accounting Services and the head of County Treasury.

According to the Motion, the officers were accused of gross misconduct, abuse of office, incompetence and Gross violation of the constitution and the law.

On Tuesday this week, the accused officers spent close to a whole day in the office of the Deputy Governor Joash Maangi for what was termed as a 'closed-door meeting' according to a close source who requested anonymity.

A close source to Kisii County Governor James Ongwae alleged that the county boss is spending sleepless nights looking for ways to silence the committee and render it powerless by closing down all probing loopholes.
