Two days after asking Kenyans to pray for him 'so that he overcame crocodiles', Migori Governor Okoth Obado's two homes were raided on Tuesday.

Detectives from Ethic and Anti-Corruption Commission descended on his Migori and Nairobi homes in search for sensitive documents that could give a lead to over ShSh2 billion suspected to have been swindled through bank accounts owned by relatives.

The early morning raid comes days after EACC insisted that it has concrete evidence to link Obado to massive graft that has seen the county struggle in Implementation of projects.

At a rally in Nyamira on Saturday when he accompanied Deputy President William Ruto, Obado suggestively gestured that he could be in trouble due to his perceived opposition to Raila Odinga, his party leader, whom he likened to a 'crocodile'.

"I am humbly asking you to pray for me so that I came overcome the crocodile," he said, even as the remarks irked sections of ODM leaders.

Mr Obado was released on bond in October 25 th after spending 34 days in prison over the alleged murder of his girlfriend Sharon Otieno.

ODM Treasurer Timothy Bosire on Sunday asked Mr Obado to 'stop dragging Raila to his woes', adding that he should solve his problems with authorities.
