Raila, who had accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto, left the crowd in stitches when he noted that the Kisii people are very fertile and they work very hard at night.

Odinga revealed that the population of the region has been on the rise because of the same. He also recalled how the population has grown over years amid laughter from the crowd.

“Kisii most of it is highlands and there is very fertile land with a lot of rainfall. The land is fertile and the people are also fertile and they work very hard at night evidence is there for everybody to see.

"So we have over the years transformed the beautiful land into a rural slum. There is hardly any more space for people to farm,” he said, leaving the crowd in stitches.

During the tour, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Odinga pledged to continue working together for the sake of development.

The two leaders said that they are committed to implementing the Big Four Agenda before the end of Uhuru’s ends his second and final term in office.
