A section of leaders from Gusii region have hit out at ODM party leader Raila Odinga following Gor Mahia's humiliating defeat at Goodison Park when the team faced Everton on Tuesday evening.

The leaders claimed that Raila's appearance at the field cost the Kenyan team. 

"Gor Mahia lost not because they didn't play but, it is because Raila was present physically. We all know Raila is man of 'bad luck' even in the country's politics," said Kefa Moenga, a youth leader from Nyamira 

Tabaka ward MCA Daniel  Apepo said Gor Mahia could not win since Raila's 'bad luck' was at the field. 

"I was not expecting our team to win since Raila himself was at the field. Gor could not even score and we all know why," said Apepo. 

Rachael Bosibori, a youth leader from Boroko in Bomariba, Kisii County expressed her disappointed following Gor Mahia's 'humiliating' defeat. 

"Our boys play well in the country but, it is so shameful they were crushed 4-0 by Everton. It is high time the former Prime Minister should stop going out with any of the team(s) representing the country at the international level," she noted.

Gor Mahia rocked history for bring the first team from Kenya to play on English soil despite the humiliating outcome of Tuesday night.
