In a post on his official Facebook page, Friday, Owino said that he is happy because the President heed to the plight of the Judiciary to restore its budget.

He said he was glad after Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Ms Ann Amadi confirmed that the National Treasury has agreed to restore its budget with immediate effect.

"I would like to thank H. E the President Uhuru Kenyatta for this display of magnanimity and Solomonic wisdom. He has averted what could have potentially been a destructive standoff between the Executive and the Judiciary," read part of Owino's Facebook post.

He also hailed Chief Justice David Maraga for taking a step of courage to air the grievances of the Judiciary.

"I would also like to thank H. E Chief Justice David Maraga for bringing this sensitive issue to light and pursuing its amicable resolution. Without this initiative, the Judiciary would have been crippled and unable to serve Kenyans to their expectations," he noted.

CJ Maraga earlier this week lamented that the executive was frustrating the Judiciary in the delivery of its service. He had threatened not to attend some state functions over what he termed as mistreatment.
