Stafford Ondego claims that the coach strangled him for taking photos of the team while in their hotel during the concluded Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) games in Egypt.

The Sportpicha says that the coach became infuriated when he took photos of the players, and grabbed him by the neck, strangling him like a cat in the process.

“That day, I wanted to accompany the team to their morning training session, so I woke up at 5 am and left for the Harambee Stars’ hotel about an hour’s drive away. After getting cleared by hotel security, I managed to take a few photos of the players in their rooms,” he told the Nairobian on Friday.

He says that the incident happened when the team was having its breakfast, after which Migne sent him away like a dog, humiliating him before hotel staff and players.

“I had just photographed Captain Victor Wanyama, who had his cup already filled with tea when coach Migne grabbed me by the neck and started choking me.  I could barely breathe. Then he chased me away like a dog as his players stared in disbelief.

Alinishika kama paka akaninyonga bwana. Hata chai sikukunywa because the waiters saw me being harassed by the Kenyan coach and started wondering who I was. Hawangenipea chai. It was embarrassing,” he is further quoted.

The same was confirmed by one of the players who said that attempts by one of the players to intervene were futile as the coach was too fought.

But Ondego says that the same would happen again when Migne threw him out of the Stars' bus as they were leaving a luncheon with Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed.
