Former Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe has vowed to back Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Amolo Odinga for the Presidency.
In a video shared by Standard, Murathe said that he has no problem backing the Former Prime Minister for the top seat if the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) roots for a rotational presidential system.
He noted that he enjoys cordial ties with the Luo political kingpin, also African Union Special Envoy.
Murathe, who is one of the fiercest critics of the Deputy President William Ruto, said that the 2022 Presidential race will be a battle of the Titans.
He divulged that other candidates stand no chance of becoming the head of State after President Kenyatta leaves power if BBI reports endorses Raila.
Murathe also threw a jab at Kiharu member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro terming him a blueband boy.
He said that the leaders from the Mt Kenya region should stop side shows and wait for the BBI report to be released before they can continue with their usual business.
“If they say Baba, Baba to state house. Am there because I don’t fear. I say what I hear. (Na wakisema baba, baba ikulu, mimi niko hapo. Am there. Kwa sababu na mimi siogopi nasema vile naskia)”
