Embattled Ekeza SACCO boss Bishop David Ngari alia Gakuyo has launched a blistering attack on Deputy President Dr William Ruto.
Speaking on Sunday during an Akorino forum, Bishop Gakuyo told the congregation that DP Ruto was not in a position to rid the country of corruption, citing the DP's "questionable dealings."
"I have been looking at a person who can rid this country of corruption completely is not this one. This one, you know the kind of things he does. (Darora mundu uria ugetoma corruption ethire completely ti uyu munini. Uyu munini, uyu muigaga maodo marea aekaga na harie, ni muramenya maodo marea aekaga na harea.), " Bishop David Ngari said.
The televangelist-turned-politician called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to endorse veteran opposition and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga for the presidency.
Given his old age, Bishop Gakuyo argued that Raila Odinga would not be hard on the people of Central Kenya unlike Ruto who he said had more time on his side.
Bishop Gakuyo is part of a clique of Kiambu-based politicians who continue to rail against the 2022 presidential ambitions of the deputy president.
He said that he was fully behind President Uhuru Kenyatta anti-corruption crusade and call for politicians to stop engaging in 2022 politics.
