In a statement released to the media houses on Tuesday, the businessman, who was re-arrested moments after the court granted him cash bail, said that he is a law abiding citizen, adding that the charges he has been facing in the recent past are untrue.

He claims the charges are not only fabricated by persons who want to bring him down but also intended to tarnish his good name in the business sector.

He promised to fight on until he gets justice from the court after he was put on the detectives radar over the allegations in question.

He also promised to comply with the sleuths in the case until the truth sets him free in the long run.

“I am a law abiding citizen who believes in the rule of law. The allegations leveled against me are untrue, without merit, fabricated and intended to use the judicial process to tarnish my name,” stated Kariuki, as quoted by Citizen Digital.

He also said that he has no outstanding tax dispute with the taxman as alleged earlier on by the media houses and DPP.
