Speaking on Thursday during an interview on Citizen TV, Kibwana said cases of runaway corruption have been on the rise, adding that most public officers are marshaling wealth through graft related deals.

“Wealth declaration forms should be signed by all public servants and they should be made public. I think EACC should be constitutionalised, he said.

The governor further noted that time has come for President Uhuru Kenyatta to step up his fight against the vice, adding that leaders should not  politicise the war against graft.

“To fight corruption we must be serious, fair and not politicise it,” he said.

He divulged that corruption levels have been on the rise in the country, to an extent that it is considered a norm in some government agencies.

“There was a time when not engaging in corruption as a state officer was deemed weird because, those you worked with would think that you would tell on them and would socialize you into corruption,” he said.
