Deputy President William Ruto and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga have sent their messages of encouragement to world marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge.
The two leaders have exuded confidence that Eliud will no doubt break his own record.
''In a few days, the world’s greatest marathoner will once again be embarking on uncharted journey to smash the limits of human athleticism and define a new level of distinction. I have absolutely no doubt he will achieve it. Go @eliudkipchoge!'' said DP Ruto.
On his part, Odinga said Kipchoge is in Vienna for something new.
''I fully embrace the INEOS159 motto that no human is limited or should be. Eliud Kipchoge has never been limited. We have faith that having done 2:00:25, this gallant son of Kenya and Africa will make it 1:59. Go go Eliud, we are behind you for something new, something unlimited,'' said Odinga.
In the challenge, Kipchoge will be seeking to make history as first marathoner to run under two hours.
The race is expected to take place on Saturday, October 12.
